Our Story 💕 Emma and Timothy were married on August 16, 2025, at Arabella Estates in Buxton, Maine. It was a beautiful summer day, filled with love, laughter, and the joy of celebrating with friends and family.
⸻ How We Met We first met on October 1st, 2016, in Belfast, Maine, at the State Championship cross-country meet. Emma wasn’t thrilled to be there—her mom insisted she support her brother, Alex. Meanwhile, Tim spotted Emma standing in front of his backpack. He casually walked over, pretended to dig through it (for nothing at all), and then looked straight up at her with a grin. Emma thought it was a little creepy (LOL), but it was definitely a moment she remembered. Later that day, Emma snapped a photo of the team. Everyone else was looking forward… except Tim, who was clearly craning his head to smile at her. And in the same photo, Alex could be seen giving Tim the ultimate side-eye. That photo still makes them laugh—it’s proof of their awkward and funny beginning. After a lot of texts, bonding over music and movies, and even a canceled Homecoming date (Emma panicked a little—first dances are scary!), the two of them found their way back to each other. What started with a smile turned into something much bigger.
⸻ A Chapter of Courage After graduating high school, Tim enlisted in the Army as a Military Police Officer. He served with courage and dedication, and later received an honorable discharge. He doesn’t often give himself the credit he deserves, but Emma is endlessly inspired by his bravery and determination to take on such a challenging path—one that changed both of their lives for the better.
⸻ The Proposal On Tim’s birthday, he suggested a trip to Fort Williams Park at sunset. It was a special place for them—they used to go almost every day when living in Cape Elizabeth, whether to walk their dog or just take in the view. Tim brought along his camera bag, which Emma assumed was for photos. But inside was the ring box instead. At the perfect spot, he got down on one knee. Just then, Tim’s friend (secretly recruited to photograph the big moment) jumped out of the bushes in an attempt to “hide.” He was anything but quiet, and the whole thing became equal parts romantic and hilarious. Emma said yes, and that night was filled with love, laughter, and the promise of forever.
⸻ Our Life Together Today, their love story continues with all the adventures they dive into together.
