Vivian’s journey began far from the rocky shores of Maine, in the vibrant islands of Trinidad and Tobago. When she arrived at Bentley University, she had no idea that a chance night out with friends would change everything. That’s where she met Chris—a Maine native whose easy smile and genuine warmth made an immediate impression. What started as a relaxed, fun introduction quickly grew into something neither of them could ignore.
Not long after that first meeting, Chris invited Vivian to visit his hometown of Kennebunkport. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love—with the coastal charm, the quiet beauty, and the sense of home she felt there. But more than that, she was falling in love with Chris.
Over the next two and a half years, their relationship became a beautiful bridge between two worlds. They traveled back and forth between Maine and Trinidad, sharing pieces of their lives with each other’s families. Whether it was sandy beaches or seaside towns, every trip brought them closer, deepening a connection that felt both grounded and adventurous.
On April 25th, their story came full circle.
Surrounded by both of their families, Chris brought Vivian back to The Colony Inn—a place that perfectly captured the charm and meaning Maine had come to hold in their relationship. In a moment filled with love, intention, and the presence of everyone who mattered most, he asked her to marry him.
She said yes.
It was more than a proposal—it was the culmination of every mile traveled, every memory shared, and every moment that brought them to this point. From Trinidad and Tobago to Maine, from a chance meeting to a lifetime ahead, Vivian and Chris’s story is a reminder that love can span any distance—and still lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.
