Some love stories begin with a chance meeting. Freddy and Adeline’s began with a soccer ball, a little friendly competition, and a connection that God would bring full circle years later.

On August 1, 2026, surrounded by the people they love, Freddy and Adeline became husband and wife at The Wishing Pond in Dayton, Maine. Their wedding day was filled with so much emotion, laughter, joy, and the beautiful reminder that sometimes God begins writing a story long before we realize where it is going.

A Love Story In The Making

Freddy and Adeline first met about a decade ago on the soccer field while playing in a coed league for Living Waters Christian School.

And apparently, they made a pretty great team right from the beginning.

Adeline was the strong midfielder, getting the ball up the field and creating opportunities, while Freddy was the forward waiting for one of her perfect passes so he could score. Their chemistry on the field was undeniable—and as it turns out, there was a little chemistry off the field too.

But Freddy decided to play hard-to-get in a pretty dramatic way: he moved to another state!

For nearly five years, their lives took them in different directions. Then Freddy returned to Maine and joined a coed indoor soccer league. Before long, there was Adeline again.

Back on the same field.

Back on the same team.

And that connection they had years before was still there.

As Freddy puts it, they decided they needed a little more competition in their lives, so they began “competing in their love for one another.”And the rest is history.

Becoming Husband & Wife

There was something so special about watching these two stand together on their wedding day, knowing just how many years had led them to this moment.

Their ceremony was filled with emotion and beautiful heartfelt moments as Freddy and Adeline made their promises to one another and stepped into this new chapter as husband and wife.

And then came the celebration!

There was so much genuine joy throughout the day—the kind you can see in the laughter, the hugs, the smiles, and the way everyone around them was simply happy to be there celebrating this marriage.

Their wedding wasn't just beautiful. It felt joyful.

A Story Only God Could Write

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is getting to witness the stories God has brought together.Freddy and Adeline's story reminds me that His timing is so often different from ours. Two people can meet, go separate ways, and years later find themselves standing together again—only this time ready for something so much greater.

What began on a soccer field all those years ago eventually led to August 1, 2026, when they stood before God, their family, and their friends and chose one another for a lifetime.

Freddy and Adeline, thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing such a meaningful day. It was an absolute joy to witness the love, emotion, laughter, and celebration surrounding you both.
